I'm doing it for the thrill
29 September 2008 @ 09:11 pm
There're some days, you just feel like sleeping and feeling slightly depressed. I've so much too say, I really don't know how to begin.
I just didn't know what to do with myself today. I went to some courses which were so boring that I wrote some mails during it. when I came home I watched Desperate Housewives 501. I found it less exciting than the beginning of the new season of House.
Grey's Anatomy was like that to. Not boring, but less interesting.
I worked a little in order to justify my student status ^^ :).

When I felt like it I always feel like walking, that's why I went out in Brussels, wandering without any goal, that's the way I process bad feelings.
I made some shopping vegetables (I always need them :D) ...

That's when the fast food story occurs ...
Diner time in a big city when you don't feel like going home to cook or sitting in a restaurant you often end up in a fast food eating some cheeseburgers, fish and chips or in a city like Brussels with a Pita. (don't know if it has the same name in English).
Outside Greece and Turkey Brussels must be the Pita capital. This is actually a good fast meal but when you order it outside it's always cooked with fried things falafel when you're a veggie like me, meat or fish when you love it. But even if I found a place when you can order it with only vegetables the sauce is kind of too much for me...

That's why I was feeling like giving you this little. If you're in Brussels for a day or two. I can advice a little place which is called : Cafe Inn. It's on Anspach street between De Brouckere and Bourse.
2 euros for a sandwich filled with so much vegetables. The Bread is very good too. It's more expansive when you ask one for with meat or fish, but still it's a really good place ...

If you ever in Brussels I can only advice you to go ther, if you need a very fast meal :).

I'm doing it for the thrill
06 September 2008 @ 02:52 pm

I have nothing much to do these days, tiding my room and puting my things in cupboards and everything but it's sooooo boring. I also walk around a lot in Brussels. However after 3 hours of walking I'm tired and wet (cause I'm in Brussels not in Manilla) and it keeps raining all the time. I'm a bit lying it's sunny now but I'll go out this evening so I wanted to stay at home.
Plus it's very frustrating to walk in a city, dieting and knowing you can't really spend money. There's waffles everywhere and chocolate shops everywhere too.

So while wandering I try to find curious places and I take pictures.

I found it really cute : The tiniest house in Brussels.

I love this bar, (yes it's a bar), found it beautiful.

The coffin ... this is a bar :-)

I also learned that Victor Hugo lived in Brussels for a while ...

And I found it a strange name for a restaurant ...

Sorry the pictures are not really good, but it was raining so it was kind of hard to do it well...

My suitcase is calling me, guess I will be good girl if I finally decide to unpack ;-)
